Projects I've worked on, products I've built.
Tide CRM
Tide CRM is a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application aimed at small businesses.
It allows you to track interactions with clients, opportunities, and leads, as well as providing powerful reporting capabilities that allow you to fully define reports across your data.
UBookIt
UBookIt is a resource booking system built as an Umbraco package. It allows you to set up resources and availability, and then combine them into services.
The package is designed to be fully accessible out of the box, and allows both headless and direct integrations from Umbraco CMS. It also allows you to replace the user interface with your own implementation if required.
The package is available as a free NuGet package; you can see the source code and documentation on GitHub.
Guitar Workshop Manager
Guitar Workshop Manager is an application built for a local luthier that allows the management of a small workshop, designed to easily show what work is currently in progress and queued, as well as providing a means by which the user can book an instrument in and quickly assign what work needs to be done via shortcuts that are configurable by the user.
GaLo
GaLo was a project I originally started to prove that AI-based agentic workflows don't work very well; it's also the project that changed my mind about that.
I chose a game because games make far more use of what I'd consider to be pure object-oriented programming than the type of business applications I typically build, and I chose Godot as the engine because it's free, open source, and supports C#.
The productivity benefits of using a properly disciplined AI-based workflow became very clear very quickly; within a day I had a basic working game; within a week I had a randomly generated dungeon and a small town with a vendor, inventory system, equipment, a levelling system, a stash, and a save/load function; from a standing start, that's a pretty impressive feature set. Note that what I didn't do was let the AI generate any assets; those I have bought from humans. The only bit that Claude is doing is what I could do myself, just faster.
Product Portfolio & Inventory Control
Product Inventory & Portfolio Generation was built for a wine wholesaler based in London; after 12 years, it is still in use.
It manages their product inventory, and allows the creation of PDF portfolios at the click of a button; this was previously a manual process using Excel, so it has saved them a great deal of time over the years. It also features basic B2B CRM functions, and the ability to customise nearly all data about products and suppliers.
